This eight booklet, nine part set with two booklet sizes among the eight booklets is the 1945-46 printing series by the American Association of Animal Lovers from Tarzana, California. The first booklet, Part 1, shows copyright 1945, Second edition and the following seven booklets all show copyright 1946. All eight booklets are in very good condition with four of the eight in even better condition. Each booklet states its part number on the front cover and the eighth booklet states Part 8 and Part 9 in the one booklet. The stiff paper wrappers of assorted beige, brown, and even yellow colorings all show some bit of wear, especially at the corners, but really they are in remarkably good condition and again, several could be described as near fine. The interior text pages are in at least very good condition throughout, and some of the booklets are better. These are really together a fabulous series of publications with the information base first rate and of great interest are the illustrations used throughout. There are numerous photographs and then many graphic drawings and cartoons as to the characteristics and handling of the horse. There are considerable illustrations of the equipment used in horse management and instruction for its use and care. Each pamphlet features a different aspect of horse management as, Principles of Horse Training, Breaking-Subjection and Control, Training the Colt and Young Horse, the Western Stock Horse, Correcting Bad Habits, and more. This listing also includes seven separate and numbered technical bulletins from the School of Applied Horsemanship. Each bulletin is paper covered and stapled and includes further information on a wide range of horse topics and care.
